With training camps about to begin in September, the NBA trade rumour mill appears to have quieted down a little. That does not mean they are no longer active. An intriguing piece of news that is now generating headlines surrounds Philadelphia 76ers player James Harden, who demanded a trade at the end of last season. According to a new report, the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers are anticipated to negotiate Harden’s trade this offseason. Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers was another NBA talent who wanted to be traded. He even mentioned his prefered destination, the Miami Heat.

According to The Athletic, Lillard is still committed to playing for the Miami Heat next season. Though Portland does not appear to be content with what the Heat has to offer,
According to The Athletic, the Miami Heat have been planning to give the Portland Trail Blazers a package for Damian Lillard since early July. James Harden, on the other hand, is said to desire to depart the Philadelphia 76ers before the start of the next season.
According to the Athletic, the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers are set to resume talks on a Harden deal this offseason.
The 76ers’ president of basketball operations, Daryl Morey, recently stated that the team is looking for a method to honour Harden’s request for a trade.
Back in September of last year, the Brooklyn Netts and Philadelphia 76ers made a massive trade for NBA MVP James Harden. The Netts received Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond, and two first-round lottery selections in exchange for the three-time scoring champion and Paul Millsap. In each of his last three seasons, Harden has had at least 20 points and 10 assists.
The Los Angeles Clippers have two of the NBA’s most powerful wings in Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, but the team’s recent performances have not been outstanding.
When one or both of Kawhi and George were absent, the Clippers’ form suffered. As a result, the Clippers’ decision to bring in Harden appears to be sound.
Damian Lillard, on the other hand, demanded a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers earlier this year, in July. His relationship with the franchise has been rocky since then.
Lillard recently tweeted a cryptic message, fueling curiosity about his NBA future. “‘Either you play the game or you let the game play you and be that broke mf talking about I stayed true,'” wrote the 33-year-old.
Lillard, according to rumours, wants to play alongside NBA talents such as Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler. Miami reached the NBA finals last season and is regarded as a key contender in the Eastern Conference.
