Joel Embiid is still focused on winning a championship, even though the NBA offseason has brought chaos to the league. The centre had been working to establish himself as one of the league’s top players over the last several seasons. Given that Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic were also dominating the court at the moment, it was never an easy chore for him. Even though the battle was fierce, Embiid was able to secure his wings.
The Cameroonian athlete had an incredible season, averaging 33.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. He was the league MVP winner and contributed to the Philadelphia 76ers finishing third in the Eastern Conference. Joel had a difficult time because many people thought he should have received MVP recognition last season. But now, winning a title is the ultimate objective.
Joel Embiid might find it difficult to reach the championship game once more given all the turmoil that occurred throughout the offseason and James Harden’s request for a trade out of Philadelphia. The Sixers have suffered five second-round upsets and one first-round exit in the previous six seasons. There has been a lot of finger-pointing, and former head coach Doc Rivers was forced to bear the majority of it. The players’ roster’s lack of cooperation is another reason given by fans.

If the Sixers don’t make the playoffs, Jimmy Butler could be able to convince Joel Embiid to join the Heat.
Joel Embiid has never been the type to force his way off of a team, but if the Sixers do not patch the holes, this might happen. Recently, Zach Buckley of the Bleacher Report proposed a deal involving the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers. In exchange, the Sixers would acquire Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, Nikola Jovic, a 2027 and 2029 first-round selection, a 2028 pick swap, and the players Embiid, PJ Tucker, and Furkan Korkmaz from the Heat.

Since Adebayo consistently makes a positive impact on the court, the Heat might not view him as a tradeable asset. The two-time All-Star centre, who is also a contender for Defensive Player of the Year, contributes to 25% of the Heat’s offence. A situation involving the current MVP, though, might make this move happen. Not to mention their camaraderie and shared respect, Joel Embiid and Jimmy Butler.
Joel Embiid has launched a complaint against the company in the midst of the Harden and Sixers trade saga. He has been frantically attempting to get Harden back. The Sixers’ famous motto and “Philadelphia, PA” were also taken out of Embiid’s social media bios. If this isn’t a protest to get Harden back, it may be a sign of what he has in store for the future.
