EL SEGUNDO, Calif – The Los Angeles Lakers today announced that Rob Pelinka, vice president of basketball operations and general manager, has signed free agent guard Spencer Dinwiddie.
Los Angeles native Dinwiddie (6’5″, 212 years old) played in 48 games (all starts) for the Brooklyn Nets this season, averaging 12.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 6.0 assists in 30.7 minutes. He joined the Lakers after playing 514 games in his NBA career over nine seasons with Brooklyn (2022-24, 2016-21), Dallas (2022-23), Washington (2021-22), and Detroit (2014-16). In 311 starts (starting 311 games), the 1-year-old averaged 13.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 28.0 minutes for his career.

Dinwiddie played in 28 NBA playoff games (7 starts) with the Nets (2023, 2019), Mavericks (2022) and Pistons (2016), averaging 14.1 points and 2 rebounds in 28.3 minutes. , 0.5 rebounds, and 3.6 assists. He shot 42.5 percent from the field, 40.6 percent from 3-point range and 77.7 percent from the foul line.
