IPL 2023: KKR vs. GT In the IPL 2023 match on Sunday in Ahmedabad, Venkatesh Iyer (Impact Substitute) and Nitish Rana helped Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bounce back from early setbacks in the 205-run chase against Gujarat Titans (GT). Vijay Shankar earlier ended KKR’s party by leading them to 204/4 with an unbeaten 63 off 24 balls that included four boundaries and five maximums. All of Shankar’s sixes came in the last two overs, during which he hit Lockie Ferguson for a pair and Shardul Thakur for a hat-trick of sixes. In addition to Shankar, Sai Sudharsan continued to play at the top of his game and consistently hit the 50-point mark. Before getting out to Sunil Narine, who claimed three wickets as part of his allotted three, he was out for 53 off 38 balls. Rashid Khan is in charge of Gujarat in Hardik Pandya’s absence since he is ill.
Absolute destruction from Vijay Shankar. Is he the completely changed batsman we have seen before? First IPL fifty. Three consecutive sixes in the last over, helping his team get past the 200-run score. #GTvsKKR pic.twitter.com/4GYnsqDcZN
