The former fast bowler from Pakistan made a really intriguing argument regarding Virat Kohli and Babar Azam.
Who is better Virat or Babar?
Which batsman, Babar or Kohli, is the superior one? Overall, Virat is without a doubt the superior batsman among the two. Babar, though, outperforms Kohli in all three formats based on his recent performance. Babar is now ranked No. 1 in ODI, No. 3 in T20I, and No. 3 in Tests as the best batter in the world.
In the argument between Virat Kohli and Babar Azam, former Pakistan fast bowler Aaqib Javed expressed his opinion, saying that Babar may have a tiny advantage because of his consistency. Javed was recently asked to choose between the two gifted batters, and he feels that Kohli has not scored as frequently as the captain of the Pakistan cricket team. “Kohli has incredible seasons. If he has a stellar season, the following one might see a drop. He is not as reliable as Babar Azam, according to Javed on the Events & Happenings Sports YouTube channel.

Babar’s leadership abilities also caught Javed’s attention, and he cited several reasons why he could excel at the ICC World Cup in 2023.
“A good captain should possess a few traits. One must perform well enough to motivate the group and win their support as captain. Giving his teammates faith in their talents as players is another attribute a good captain should possess. I have observed some captains who constantly put their men through trials and strain. This could encourage selfish behaviour within the team, which is undesirable. The third is to make decisions affecting the team in a fair and honest manner. Therefore, he said, “These are the simple things that count.
When asked earlier which key batters from across the world would do well in the World Cup, veteran Australian cricketer Greg Chappell had a simple response.
“I believe that they will all contribute significantly to their teams’ runs scored. The structure facilitates that. Furthermore, the date of the World Cup and the predicted weather in India will favour these guys, who are all excellent players for their respective teams. Having said that, I believe Virat Kohli and Steve Smith to be the two best all-format players, and I believe the World Cup will be a contest between them to establish their dominance.
