Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence throws four picks in the first half in his postseason debut

The first half of Trevor Lawrence’s first playoff game was a nightmare.

Three interceptions were thrown by the Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback in the opening round, including two in Jacksonville’s first two possessions. According to NFL Research, he became the only quarterback since at least 1991 to throw an interception on each of his first two career playoff drives.

Only a few plays later, Ekeler capitalised once more to give the Chargers a 17-0 lead.

Lawrence, though, didn’t stop there with his first-half interception total.

Lawrence threw the ball into the centre of the field with the ball at the halfway point, but Samuel Jr. was there once more to intercept the Jaguars’ quarterback for his third interception of the game.
